Comprehensive SPICE-based model for assessing and evaluating reuse practices in systems engineering for organizations or companies.
Current process reference models do not explicitley consider reuse in a comprehensive way. Typically, in a systems engineering context, an organization must be capable to invent reusable artificats but must also be capable to systematically reuse these artifacts during the development of systems or individual solutions.
The aim of the project is to develop a method that facilitates the assessment of engineering departments or companies regarding reusability. The emphasis is not only on developing and testing an assessment method that allows to classify engineering organizations accordinig to their reusability maturity, but also to develop a methodological framework to enhance the reusability maturity of an engineering organization.
- Development of an assessment method for measuring reuse in industrial engineering
- The structure of the reference model allows integration in establihsed process assessment methods like ISO/IEC 15504
- An ISO/IEC 15504 conformant process reference model for reuse in industrial engineering
- A ready-to-use interview and assessment toolkit for assessing reuse in industrial engineering
