Detection of malignant tissue via volatile organic compounds (VOC) using odor sensors and artificial intelligence

Goal
The goal is the technical realization and clinical testing of a smell sensor for the automated detection of cancer using state-of-the-art deep learning methods from the field of artificial intelligence. As a non-invasive examination method, odor measurement represents a cost-effective and fast alternative to conventional screening using nuclear medicine procedures (such as MRI).
