A. Stritzinger started his professional career as an engineer in automation engineering (1977-1980). After three years he studied Computer Science at the Johannes Kepler University Linz (1980-1986). Stritzinger received his diploma/master degree in 1986 from Kepler University (JKU) Austria. During his education he was affiliated with IBM Böblingen (Germany) and Hewlett Packard Vienna (1980, 1983, 1984).

Since 1987 Stritzinger is affiliated with JKU departement of Business Informatics – Software Engineering. He served as foundation member  and lecturer as well as assistant professor until 1998.

Stritzinger became associated professor in 1998. He was manager at the associated Christian Doppler laboratoy for Software Engineering from 1998 to 2005.

Stritzinger started object-oriented software development with Smalltalk in the eighties in teaching courses as well as consulting industrial projects in the field. After more than a decade experience in Java projects, he switched the focus from classical software engineering and object-orientation to Web Application Service engineering (2009).

His focus is in the research area Web Engineering. In 2017 Stritzinger retired.

Alois Stritzinger
