Rajas Dalvi is a doctoral researcher and scientific project member at the Department of Business Informatics – Software Engineering at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. He earned his Master’s degree in Quantum Technology from the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology and has been driven by a passion for turning quantum computing research into practical software solutions.
Before joining JKU, Rajas worked with TCS Research, where he contributed to the development of a software toolkit for quantum sensing protocols. Rajas also gained industry experience at a quantum computing startup, developing quantum algorithms for digital twins in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), with a focus on quantum optimisation and quantum linear solvers.
Today, his research explores the intersection of quantum computing and software engineering, with interests spanning quantum software engineering, quantum machine learning, and quantum compilation. Rajas enjoys building reliable quantum software while exploring new ways to make quantum technologies more practical and scalable. When he’s not immersed in research, you’ll most likely find him on a football pitch, hiking through the mountains, or working on a bouldering problem. He also enjoys painting as a creative outlet and has been practising mixed martial arts.
