Positions as a university assistant holding a Diploma/Master’s degree are limited to a duration of a four-year period
Positions as a university assistant holding a Doctorate/Ph.D degree are limited to a duration of a six-year period
Job Duties:
- Supporting the development of the Institute for Business Informatics-Software Engineering
- Expanding the Software Engineering research group
- Independently planning and carrying out the Institute’s research projects, as well as the resulting publication activities in the research field of Software Engineering
- Taking on teaching duties (Teaching obligation for candiates holding a Diploma/Master degree is 2 hours per week, Teaching obligation for candiates holding a Doctorate/Ph.D degree is 4 hours per week), expanding the range of courses in particular the lecture and tutorial in the field of Software and Systems Engineering and co-supervising Bachelor’s and Master’s theses in Business Informatics
- Participation in interdisciplinary, international collaborative projects
- Undertaking organisational duties and administrative tasks for our institute
- Conduction / undertaking industrial projects
Your Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must hold a completed Diploma/Master’s degree or Doctorate/Ph.D. degree with a specialisation in Business Informatics, Computer Science or related fields in-depth knowledge of Software Engineering
- Experience in developing a specialist field
- Excellent programming skills for Java, Python, C++
- Experience in developing a specialist field
- Good experience in teaching
- Very good English language skills (level B2)
- Fluent German language skills (level C1) for teaching the courses in german
- A very good commitment to collaborative research
- Ability to work independently, think critically and contribute to the development of new experimental methods
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage experimental campaigns and data workflows
- High sense of responsibility and scientific integrity
What We Offer:
- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,776.10 gross per month as a Graduate Teaching Assistant holding a Diploma/Master’s degree and € 5,014.30 gross per month as a University Assistant holding a Doctorate/Ph.D. degree (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
