Stefan Klikovits is University Assistent at the Department of Business Informatics – Software Engineering at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. He studied Software Engineering at the Vienna University of Technology, Austria (BSc) and University of Manchester, UK (MSc). He received his PhD with distinction from the University of Geneva, Switzerland in 2019, during which he also worked at the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Switzerland. Before joining our institute at JKU, Stefan worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Institute of Informatics, Tokyo, Japan for three years.

Stefan’s primary research areas are centred around the modelling, simulation and verification of complex systems such as autonomous vehicles, home and office automation, and automated farming. Recently, his focus lay on scenario generation for autonomous vehicles using search-based techniques such as genetic algorithms.

He is (co-)author of 25+ peer-reviewed publications, regular reviewer in international journals, and joined various workshops and conferences as program committee member. In the past, he was also an active member of the European COST Action on Multi-Paradigm Modelling for Cyber-Physical Systems (MPM4CPS).
